Restorative Yoga

A weekly class for all levels students (first time students welcome)
Sunday from 04:30 until 05:45

Offers rejuvenating and passive poses held for longer periods that are supported by yoga props to generate flexibility and balance, promote health, and create a state of deep relaxation. Let your senses bask in calming scents of aromatherapy, which leave you feeling refreshed and restored. Yoga blocks, straps, and blankets will be provided and used for more complete relaxation. Yoga props are suggested, but not required. (If you already have a yoga bolster please bring it.) 75 min.

Gentle yoga

A gentle class with lots of floor work and restorative postures. A great way to relax after the work week and recharge for your weekend. Take some time to be with yourself and your breath. The Grove Park Inn lcation is a beautiful spot with wood floors and plenty of windows. Only $8.

Yin/Restorative Yoga

A weekly class for all levels students (first time students welcome)
Friday from 18:00 until 19:30

Carla Jennings is the former Director of the Red Lotus Institute in Athens, GA.  She has taught yoga for several years in many different settings in the Athens area including: The Art of Yoga, Ladies 1st, Athens YMCA, Total Training, and the UGA-Ramsey Center. She continues to teach many yoga classes at Red Lotus each week in addition to her classes at the Athens YMCA & Gainesville State College-Oconee. Carla began her study of yoga after being diagnosed with a chronic pain syndrome known as fibromyalgia.

Transcend Yoga takes a simple and direct approach to Hatha Yoga. This program is designed to strengthen and tone while offering clarity and control to your mind, body and spirit.

Transcend Yoga has diverse classes to meet different people's needs. Classes are intimate with under 12 students at a time. The environment is warm and friendly.
