Hello, I am currently a yoga teacher traveling the world and teaching classes to underprivileged teenagers and families. I am extremely excited to be offering this type of work and will continue to do so for the rest of my life. I first discovered the art of yoga when I was sixteen. I had contracted some serious muscle spasms and thought I was going to be debiliated for the rest of my life.
Cicely Andree, Licensed Massage Practitioner.
Cicely's exploration of movement has beckoned her to the teachings of yoga, contemporary dance, mindfulness practices and bodywork.
She completed her first teacher training in the Ashtanga tradition with Clayton Horton in San Francisco in 2005. After a sacro-iliac injury in 2006, Cicely turned toward a slower-paced, gentle yoga seeking to create stability, ease and sustainability in her yoga practice.
I teach kundalini yoga and light meditations. Am available for private or group sessions at your home and work in addition to my studio classes.

Karen Schwisow was introduced to yoga in 2000 when her 80 year old Grandmother asked her to come to a free class at her church. Yoga resonated in Karen's body and mind from that first night and since then she's found it to be a constant source of joy, challenge and learning. Although Karen had practiced meditation for over a decade, she found that yoga had an equally powerful ability to quiet the mind while simultaneously nurturing the body.

She has taught Gentle, Beginner and Intermediate Hatha Yoga, Partner's Yoga and Radiant Child Yoga in the NE Tacoma area for the past six years.
I first fell in love with yoga in 1991 during a ski holiday in Vail, CO with childhood friend Fenella Zimmern. Fenella had just returned from India, was in the midst of her teacher training in London and happy to share her new passion.
Fenella went back to England to become a fabulous teacher and eventually to develop the Yoga Bugs™ program (seeYogaBugs.com).

I first tried yoga in '96 after the birth of my 3rd child as a way to get back into those pre-pregnancy jeans. I practiced on and off for many years and after two more babies, began to find some space in my life to become more dedicated to my practice.
It has been said that most people come to yoga for the physical practice but those who stay with it do so because they find something more and this was certainly true for me. My yoga practice has given me a stable foundation upon which to cultivate joy, peace and abundance in my life.
