Come to become a better teacher or just to develop a better understanding of yoga and deepen you personal practice.

This website is a great way to publish information about teachers, studios and classes. Why stop there?
If you have articles related to yoga, or instructions about poses and practices, I'd like to publish them here too. Please contact me if you can contribute, or jump right in by posting to our forums and I'll organize the information later.
I plan to publish this information in two ways. One will be wiki-style, where users can collaborate to collectively define say, an asana or school of yoga. The second will be article by a single author; for example an interview or travel report.
This site built and maintained primarily by Dave Cohen, a website developer who works on yogadex.org in his spare time.
The technology powering the site is the product of countless open-source software developers. (Eventually, we'll put together a comprehensive list of the products used.)
Content on Yogadex.org are © copyright 2008 by the individual contributors and are published under one of the licenses listed below. We support multiple licenses in order to encourage two types of contribution. Collaborative pages (wiki-style) may be edited by any member of our community. Other pages including articles, interviews, etc may be edited only by the original author.
As a contributor, you agree to have your posts published under the terms listed here. If you have any questions please contact us.

This short movie called Yogin by John Hanrahan was scheduled to play at a recent film event in San Francisco. I didn't see the film that night, but I'm glad I followed the link. This is amusing and really well put together.

As part of the recent upgrade, I purged all the old forum posts.
Most of them were spam, and ones that weren't were older threads. So I figured it was OK to let them go.
I also purged a bunch of user accounts. Again lots of these seemed to be generated by spambots. If you find you cannot log in using an email address you used to use, just re-register. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Our goal is to be a comprehensive directory of all things yoga. We list teachers, classes and studios which can be browsed by geographic location or searched. And we list articles and community discussion on all aspects of yoga.
... coming soon ...
Please be patient as we update these pages. In the meantime post your questions to our community discussion board.
We're looking for volunteers to produce content and translate this site into other languages. If you can help, please contact us and we'll send more information.
Thank you and namaste!
