Magdalena Winter (magdalena@northbeachyoga.com) began practicing yoga over seven years ago to help her manage the exhilarating trials of New York City life. While living in New York City she earned her certification in Hatha Yoga at the Integral Yoga Institute, which was founded by Sri Swami Satchidananda, a revered yoga master of our time. In 2003, she relocated to San Francisco to continue her studies with leading yoga and meditation teachers in the Bay Area. Her classes are Hatha flow style and she places an emphasis on breath and alignment, but also recognizes individual body types. Magdalena loves the strength, balance, and joy that Yoga offers and believes that its healing benefits go far beyond the classroom to becoming a way of life.
Erin Gaffaney (erin@northbeachyoga.com) has been practicing a variety of yoga styles for over 7 years, with a focus on Vinyasa and Hatha flow. Her favorite aspect of yoga is the balance it brings to all aspects of her life stretching after a strenuous run or bicycle ride, relaxing after a difficult day at work, or even putting personal relationships into perspective.
Erin's teaching style focuses on balance and strength as well as core yoga values to experience greater compassion for oneself and a sense of readiness and grounding to approach the daily challenges we experience off the mat. She currently teaches at The Hapkido Institute and offers private and small group sessions out of her home in Noe Valley. Erin is certified with the Greenpath Yoga Studio 200-hour teacher training program - approved through the Yoga Alliance - and practices under the guidance of Rusty Wells and Janet Stone at Yoga Flow in San Francisco.
